This is the strip that sits between your header and your page content — three regions in one row — and the video shows how to size it, show it only where you want it, and label it for screen readers.
Three regions, one wrapper
Solo groups Top First Container, Top Second Container and Top Third Container under a single wrapper. Put a block in one of them and the container appears in theme settings; leave all three empty and the settings are hidden, because Solo only builds settings for regions that hold a block. This is the natural home for a three-up row of calls to action, statistics or featured teasers — and if you want richer components inside those blocks, that is what Paragraphs Bundles is for.
Sizing the row
- The two columns' settings for top region — seven proportions, from an even 50/50 to a lopsided 20/80.
- The three columns' settings for top region — 33.3/33.3/33.3 by default, or 25/50/25, or 20/60/20 for a dominant middle.
- Enable per-content-type layouts for Top region — lets an article use a different split from a landing page.
There is also a global switch, Tick this box to modify the layout collapse order, which rearranges grouped regions into a responsive grid on small screens. It applies only where a group holds exactly three or four regions, which the Top container always does.
Two things Main does not have
Visibility. The Accessibility & Behavior tab lets you set the whole container to visible on all pages, on the home page only, or on every page except the home page. That is how you get a promotional row on the front page and nowhere else without a single block visibility condition.
An ARIA landmark. Enable ARIA Landmark for Top Container adds role="region" and an aria-label to the wrapper. The form's own advice is to enable it only when the container consistently holds important, navigable content — a landmark around decorative filler makes screen-reader navigation worse, not better.
Styling & Design adds rounded corners, borders, a border animation and a hover animation, plus the fifteen colour fields on the wrapper and on each region. Solo supports ^10.1 || ^11 || ^12 — theme page.
If you would rather have this set up for you, Drupal theming services covers the work, and recent projects show the result.
