Three image paragraphs, and the difference between them is not decoration: each one is wired to a different set of responsive image styles.
The three types
paragraph_bundle_image installs Image, Image Narrow and Image Wide. All three take the same fields — an Image, an optional Image Link and an Image Link Title — and differ in how the picture is delivered.
Media, not a file upload
The Image field references a media entity of the type Image (PB), which holds the file and an Image Caption. That indirection is the point: upload once, reuse the same media item in a card, a slideshow or an overlay, and fix the caption in one place.
Narrow, wide and original
- Narrow styles are square crops running from 400 px up to 1700 px, delivered through a responsive style named Narrow (PB) — right for a picture sitting in a column.
- Wide styles are letterbox crops from 420x280 to 1700x600, delivered through Wide (PB) — right for a banner across the page.
- PB Original Size keeps the file as uploaded, for logos and diagrams that must not be cropped.
The sub-module also declares its own breakpoints at 414, 576, 992, 1200 and 1400 px, which is what the responsive styles switch on.
When you have hundreds of images
Placing images one paragraph at a time is fine for a landing page and painful for a migration. PB Import builds nodes and paragraphs from a CSV file, including their images, and targets the same Drupal 11.3 and 12 releases.
Requirements
Drupal 11.3 or 12, with core Media, Media Library, Image and Responsive Image. The install command is on the Paragraphs Bundles module page.
