By the end of this walkthrough you can build a rotating 3D carousel out of paragraphs you already have, and control how fast it turns.
The bundle and its fields
Enabling the 3D Carousel sub-module adds a single paragraph type. Its 3D Carousel Items field is unlimited and unrestricted, so an item can be an image, a card, a block of text or anything else in the suite. The two height selects are deliberately separate: Large Screen Height is required and offers ten steps from 100px to 550px for viewports of 993px and wider, while Small/Medium Screen Height covers 992px and below with nine steps up to 500px.
The motion settings
- Play and Stop — thirteen intervals between 3 and 15 seconds; five seconds is the stated default.
- Title Over Image — a checkbox that floats the item title on the picture instead of under it.
- The rendered widget draws its own previous arrow, slide counter, pause button and next arrow.
How the rotation is produced
The sub-module ships its own script, which counts the items, works out a radius from them, and then places each face with CSS rotateY() and translateZ() transforms. Nothing is baked into an image, so the ring stays sharp at any size and re-lays itself out when you change the height select.
All of that is set on the paragraph form itself — the W3CSS Paragraphs module page carries the full bundle list.
When a View would suit you better
This carousel holds slides you pick by hand. If the slides should instead come from content already being queried — the ten newest articles, for instance — Views 3D Carousel produces the effect from a View, but its info file requires Drupal 11.3 or newer. W3CSS Paragraphs itself installs on Drupal 10, 11 and 12.
Planning one for a real page? Best practices for using a 3D carousel covers how many slides is too many.
If your project needs a custom bundle or module rather than a stock one, Drupal development services covers it, and recent projects show the range.
