Watch this and you will know exactly what the W3CSS Paragraphs project installs on a Drupal site, and how to put your first pre-built bundle onto a page without writing any CSS.

What the project actually contains

W3CSS Paragraphs is one parent module plus 23 optional sub-modules, and between them they define 30 paragraph types. Turning on the parent alone gives you three of those: Simple, Image and w3css Shared, along with a media type named W3CSS Image for reusable pictures. Accordions, slideshows, modals, heroes and column layouts each arrive only when you enable the sub-module that owns them, so a site never carries bundles nobody uses.

The install order shown on screen

  1. Satisfy the dependencies the parent declares: Paragraphs, Entity Reference Revisions and Field Group.
  2. Enable W3CSS Paragraphs itself.
  3. On the Extend page, switch on only the bundle sub-modules you actually want.
  4. Add an Entity reference revisions field to a content type and allow those bundles on it.

The W3CSS Paragraphs project page lists every bundle if you would rather plan before installing anything.

Why every bundle edits the same way

Twenty-six of the thirty edit forms are organised into the same two field-group tabs, Content and Display. Content holds text, media and nested paragraphs. Display holds appearance: 30 background colours, 11 opacity steps from 5% to 95%, eight widths from 30% to 100%, 11 border styles, six rounded-corner options, six margins, eight paddings, two card shadows, and a free-text box for any extra w3.css class. Learn one form and you have learned them all.

Which core release you need

The parent declares core_version_requirement: ^10 || ^11 || ^12 with php: ^8.1. That is the deciding fact, because its successor project Paragraphs Bundles declares ^11.3 || ^12. Running Drupal 10? This is the one that fits. From 11.3 upward, either will install.

Next step: pair it with the W3CSS Theme, whose breakpoints and base styles these bundles are designed against.
